Edan's first month!! Happy Chinese New Year!!

Ah yes, yesterday 30th Jan 2006, Edan is officially 1 month old liao! :)

Well, a mini party was organised for him was on 27th Jan 06. I wanna apologise to all my guests that day for the late arrival of the buffet. Arranged for it to be delivered by 1730hrs +/- 15mins ... they only came and set up by 1840hrs! Quite a few distinguished guest left as they were rushing for time and many were fighting back their hunger ... gosh, really very embarrassing. Friends, pls accept my apology! I also wanna thank you all for all the generous gifts for my son!

Haha, while typing this, Edan just treat me to sample his virgin boy's urine!! Just went to change my shirt, shorts and even my underwear! lol.

Ok, my blog getting flooded with Edan, since I've just bought my sigma 10-20mm, think I'll find a chance to go shoot some photos and share. Here's some I took last Monday.(not still dun have 10-20mm then ... :( )

Where's my Doraemon ??

Since I was a kid, I've always loved the story of Doraemon and "Da-xiong". It's really a fantasy that every boy and even adults has ... to have someone giving unconditional love and taking care of you. More importantly, Doraemon always has something inside his magical pocket that's so interesting and useful!
As a kid, I used to scold Da-xiong for being such a useless boy, dunno how to make full use of the "toys" that Doraemon has; in fact, he always make a mess out of everything! haha!
As I entered adulthood and now fatherhood, facing the working society and a life that's getting so realistically practical; I can't help at times screamed "where is my Doraemon ...??"

Maybe it's just me or maybe it's the human race, or maybe it's anyone who has only ultilised 10% of his brain ... we always wish for miracles, wish for happiness, wish for more money, more time etc ... and so we ask for Doraemon. However, recently I have this thinking ... I've always see the story of Doraemon as a fantasy ... a hope for us that one day, someone ... maybe Doraemon, maybe God ... comes along with all the help we can get. But what if the story behind Doraemon is simply to tell us ... No one can help you if YOU don't help yourself!?

Hope, wishes we must harbour, cos at many times it's always hope that make us optimistic, it's hope that give us the extra energy to go ahead. But, somewhere at the corner of your 10% operating brain, we should imprint this message, we must help ourself! Another message Doraemon carries might also be telling us to cherish whatever we have! "He who is not greedy is always happy, he who has tolerance is always with inner peace". God bless.

Update on Edan, on saturday, little Edan has been cleared of Jaundice! His Bilirubin lvl drop from first check of 115 to 62. Thks god for blessing this child! (And thks to my florescent lamp at home ... haha!) Posted by Picasa

Tribute to my Mum!

Gosh ... 1st Jan 2006 started with a big bang for me, if it's an indication of things to come, I think I'm in trouble.

Well, Xiaoxin came home yesterday afternoon and nightmare continues for me! haha... Books had recorded that baby takes time to adjust their circadian rhythms(sleep clock). Well, they are right ... walan oi! Last night whole night no sleep! True, whole night! And my poor mum has to carry him on her arms for nearly the whole night. And suddenly I become expert in making preparing milk powder etc ... walao ... my wife who is still recovering from the horrendous cut hang on till 4am before collapsing, must be very strenous on her too. All he does is cry and eat ... but not sleep... the ordeal only ended this morning at 8am ... it's only then we caught 1hrs of sleep! Cham cham ... want faint liao!!!

Special thks to my mum! I dunno what'll happen without her... thks! God bless us with the strength to go on! Posted by Picasa

God, pls bring peace and harmony to 2006!

Ah, yes, look forward Edan ... to 2006! Happy New Year everyone! Let's hope 2006 will be a greater and happier year for everyone of us!

Edan (pronounced Ee-dan), yup, that's his name; a celtic word for "The Flame" or the fiery one! haha! I want him to be the light and energy for this "winter" season of december. Special thanks to Simon Goh & Alice for bringing this name along with their visit, really appreciate it cos they actually search through book for this name! Thanks!!

Well, his chinese name will be eh ... I dunno how to do Chinese Character entry ... It's Lee Zhi Xin; Zhi: as in "intellect" and Xin as in "dawn, moment when the sun is just about to rise"!

Eh ... pls dun mix up with "Eden Garden" hor, knn, thks to Ah Quek for reminding me! haha! Fyi, "Eden" is a girl's name; in hebrew it means "delightful". Of course those who play warcraft with me will realise that this name sounds like my fav character "Illidan- the demon hunter"! Posted by Picasa
