My Home in Jurong ...

I was born in Jurong, stayed in Jurong for the past 30yrs ... my childhood, my happiest days, my gloomy days ... memories, sweet and sorrow ... all roots back into Jurong. The place I call home for the past 30yrs! :)

In recent years, there have been major developement in Jurong, Schools, upgrading, multi-purpose sports hall, parks etc ... Jurong is no longer just an industrial estate. In fact, Jurong boast 2 very famous suburban shopping complex in Jurong Point and IMM.

Last Sunday, 23Jul06, went for a stroll with Edan and my wife. We brought Edan to the newly completed ... in fact the new Jurong Park that was officially opened on the 1st April 06 ... so beautiful and full of funs for the elderly and childrens alike! We only spent abt 45mins there as later that afternoon, I went for my first weekend OT with my new company.

May the Dharma light illuminates and guide our path! :)

Finally after a 5 months wait ... TPA ...

I wonder how many of you remembered the article I posted back in Feb 06, with Da-xiong aka Keith posing in front of the booth of TPA!

Back then, we were very interested and were vested in the company ... however the price did not really goes up. Nonetheless, finally this few days saw some movement in the price and here's why!!!! :::::

TPA STRATEGIC HOLDINGS LTD TO PAY SPECIAL INTERIM DIVIDEND TO
SHAREHOLDERS
Further to the announcement of TPA Strategic Holdings Ltd (the “Company”) on 17 May 2006,
the Directors of the Company are pleased to declare a special dividend of 7.219 cents per share
(gross) for the financial year ending 31 December 2006. This amount consists of 1.095 cents per
share less income tax of 20%, payable to shareholders on 11 August 2006 and 6.124 cents per
share tax exempt under the Singapore one-tier corporate tax system, payable to shareholders on
14 August 2006.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the
Company will be closed on 1 August 2006 for the purpose of preparing dividend warrants. Duly
completed transfers received by the Company’s Registrar, Lim Associates (Pte) Ltd at 10 Collyer
Quay #19-08 Ocean Building Singapore 049315 up to 5.00 p.m. on 31 July 2006 will be
registered to determine shareholders’ entitlement to the special interim dividend.

This means that for those who follows the buy call at that time, this dividends represents nearly a 28% interest yield in 5 mths!! Yes!!! Finally got some money to cover my recent fiasco liao!!! hahaha!

Silent nite

Just came back from badminton session. Had a tiring day at work, physically and metally ... so it's kinda good to rush to play 2 hrs of badminton and sweat it all out.

Just clearing some emails and look thru my photos, kinda like this one of Edan, while waiting for the attendent to wipe dry my car, I took the chance to catch a few shots of him ... nb like sleeping buddha! haha!

My latest added burden ... hur hur hur

Nowadays, weekends seems so precious, come to think of it, not long ago, there was a time when I hated weekends! Believe it or not, it's true ... cos weekends I can't have breakfast with my friends, drink my fav "Avocado milkshake" ... monitor my shares ... but now, I come to cherish weekends so much!

Even friday nite was not spared, once I reach home, immediately drove my mum-in-law, Edan and his mum to Pasir panjang's Hoe kee for cockles and "lala". Hmmm, personally feel that standard has dropped a lot since I last visited the hawker center years back, in fact, even the way they cook is no longer the same. We shared one sentiment ... I dun think I will be going back even with the free parking. haha!

Yesterday I brought my city for a $6 bath, then drove the same group of us to IMM for some shopping. My mum and dad went to genting ... so envious, so I packed my weekend's schedule tight enough too ... shopping and badminton. Followed by worldcup action ... knn England out again ... boring.

Today leh, dunno, mood again liao, tomolo working again! Tonite Edan's going back to granny place again. Hmmm ... maybe the only thing that can make me happier is to strike 4d tonite or TOTO tomolo. Interestingly, yesterday nearly strike first prize, saw a poor car at IMM car park, car plate kena knock onto the floor by some irresponsible pple ... saw the plate on the floor ... 5770, bought a bit, knn last nite first prize was 4770!!! Pui pui!
