Covering the Users Meeting 2006 !!!

Well, this is one of my first "secondary appointment" after joining Roche Diag, tasked to be the official photographer for our Annual Users Meeting @ The Sentosa Resort, Beaufort Hotel last Saturday, 16th Sept. Gosh, this is quite a big arrow ... comparable if not more jialat than the one I kena last year for the NDP appreciation dinner!

The most challenging part is to make sure I get all those big bosses or those important customers ... which, sad to say, I dun really know who is who yet!! LOL! Shooting in the low light ballroom prove to be a challenge too, especially with the projector at the middle, too much, over-expose, too little, can't see the faces ...

Nonetheless, I think my latest toy serve me well! My new AFS DX VR 18-200mm!! Got it the nite before the actual event!! I must say this is really a super lens! It has now displace both my kit lens 18-70mm + 70-300mm! Though it's 3 time the price of both the other lens add together, it is also 3 times more versatile, 3 F stops brighter(with VRii vibration reduction, can shoot hand held nite shot!! hehe!) and as sharp as nikon premium lens!!

So any Nikon user out there ... quick grab it!! Cheers!

@ West Coast Park ... 3rd Sept 2006

Aiyo, quite some time back since I last posted liao. Hmmm, kinda busy over the past 2 weeks. Finally today can spend a lazy afternoon at home before a challenging week start again tomorrow.

Well, I'm glad that I finally start my first account at a lab in lucky plaza on the 26th Aug, last saturday, in navy terms, this means that that's I'm the ship IC of that ship ... haha! Of course, like the old days, we will cover each other and make sure we provide the best professional services to our customer. But this lab being my account means I'll be the first person they will call when situation arises ... stress xia! hehe!

Ha ... what am I doing in West Coast park leh? Well, kena arrow lor ... less than 3 months in my new company and I'm honoured to be appointed one of the organising commitee member for our family day! When I learned about the events last year ... I'm beginning to feel the heat! And even before I attend my first commitee meeting, I just caught news that I will be the official photographer for my department's user meeting in Sentosa 2 weeks later!!! Walao!!! Jialat ah, hope my D70 dun fail me!!! hahah!! I think must start drinking Brands Chicken essence liao ... then can fend off the flying daggers!!! hahaah! ( you need to see this advertisment on Brands chicken essence to know what I'm talking abt! hehe! ) So, as you might have guessed, I was in West coast to recce the place, as a potential venue for the family day event. (I doubt it's suitable)

And other updates ... well, Edan is 8 mths old le! ... and
... finally my pure tech peers (sai_moon and you_tong) have all left the navy
... I'm getting more attached to my Honda city, nice drive; wanna install an arm-rest but no stock, anyone know accessories shop to recommend? fellow cityzen Daxiong install fog light le!
... most of my share holdings are still stuck, only cleared Aqua-terra and squeezing balls for Labroy marine -kns, bought 1.45 x 5lots, sold 1.21 x3 lots because scare ... 2 mths later(now) 1.71 !!! knn!!!
... Man United has a great start to the new season, but I'm so disappointed they just couldn't get any big names signing! sigh ...
... long time no go genting liao, miss the place very very much!(actually just went in April hor! haha!)-_-""
... still not "confirmed" by my company, coming 12th sept is 3 mth already, cross fingers! :)
