The most fortunate person in the world ... a contented person ...

I remember I read this somewhere ... by someone ... I can't recall who or where, but it strikes me hard. It's simple but not easy.

Less than 2 weeks ago, I was freezing in lucerne, snow everywhere ... beautiful, yes of course, especially when they float down gracefully from the sky. It was really a peaceful sight ... that is from the view of my window in my warm hotel room. But walk outside and it is really so cold and wet; causing so much inconveniences and a couple of traffic accidents.

Back in our small southern paradise island, I thought I will appreciate the warm ... but only for less than an hour. Perspiration made me swear and curse; so warm, so humid. Then come the roar of the thunder, the flash of the lightning ... and the torrentous rain. I grumble again ... so wet, so inconvenient, so much traffic jam.

Then I realised, I'm just human ... someone still learning and yet to awaken. Always grumbling ... but why didn't I appreciate the cool of the cold, the warm of the hot and the provision of water, the one source of life. So then I know ... it's not just the weather, it's actually my life ... if only one can learn to be contented ...

** aftermath- aiya, easiler said than done. So much pressure from social, peer, family, relative etc etc etc .... no wonder they say God is known as god because he can do what a lot of normal people cannot do ... haha! :)
