Ah yes! This is juguang jr you are seeing here!! He finally arrive to be with my family yesterday, 30 Dec 2005 in the afternoon. The above pic is taken just less than 10mins after he took his first breath of earth's oxygen!(if it's blur, it's because of my trembling hands ... dun blame my HP607!
The drama started 3.40am on the 30th dec when Ace woke me up and told me "I think abt time liao" ... so off we go to NUH delivery ward! After hrs of wait, the action begins at abt 10.45am, when she start to feel contractions of un-neglectable level! The events that follows in the next 4 hrs is really a nightmare for both of us, perharps because the baby has inherited his dad's "big size", he gave his mum a hell of time! I salute my wife for making it through without any injection; using only the "high gas". She decide against any injection cos it's said to cause side effect on the mum and also cause the baby to feel drowsy(thus needing injection for antidote).
I also have to salute myself, for surviving the whole live action. Guys, before anyone laugh at me, do it first before telling me how you feel. You look at the person you love, holding her hand, seeing her in extreme pain; you see bloody scenes, you see nurses and doc exchanging concern words ... mins pass, hours pass; and all you can do is hold her hand shouting encouragement ... 4 bloody hrs ... throughout the whole event, I started praying, yes, I prayed! Pray for god to forgive my sin whatever ... believe me, if a Deity is to appear and offer me to relieve her suffering and deliver my child safety in exchange for vanities like money(even my D70! haha!), I'll declare bankrupt the instant!
I dun wanna say too much, cos I really feel it's impossible to put the feeling to words, I just wanna tell all guys, pls, be there. After that, it'll change you (be prepared to suffer Post Traumatic Stress Disorder though) and the way you cherish what you have. It's also very important for your wife, you are the extra source of energy to last the marathon! At the end of the whole thing, I was really exhausted and lost my voice (shouting encouragement) ... then I imagine, how abt my wife who has gone through the pain and used all the energies to PUSH! At that point, I salute all Mums in this world!
Well, the journey has just started ... but I'm now upgraded and willing to take the challenge! Come what may!
