Dilemma

Left of right? ... so they says:" the most difficult choice to make is a 50:50 one ... "

Many time, I tot I was clever or logical, when I encountered a problem, I like to break it down to small parts so that things become simpler to solve. However, it's not always true ... especially when most of the time after breaking down the problem, you reach a 50:50 decision ...

Of course, 50:50 means there's 50% chance you will be correct, but it also means 50% you will be wrong!?! If the decision is not so critical, it's simple, just punt! Half the time you will be right! But what if you are very serious about that decision? What if it is going to change your entire life or someone else's? ...

Yesterday, me finally went for my first interview, ya, the first in my life if you dun count about that 1 or 2 part-time jobs I did during Poly time holidays. A service engineer post with a very big MNC company in Tiong Bahru. A bit scary and kan cheong, but I tot I cope well, in fact was not more kan cheong than when I stood in the center of the stage to take photo for Defence minister during last yrs' National day appreciation dinner's award ceremony. Perhaps my years of presenting WITS project to our ever so demanding group of panel drilled me to stand firm. I was interviewed by 2 person, the Head of the diagnotic branch and the Head of the Service Engineering branch. Hopefully I did enough... haha! Ironically, just a few months back, I was the one sitting in the room waiting for my "candidates" to come in for me to bombard questions... I was the one choosing to say yes or no... interesting isn't it, I mean life itself.

Evening time I attended another interview, but it feels more of a pyscho session for me to join them. Phillipcapital, the offer was good. A chance for me to become remisier/broker for POEMS stock-online trading! But of course I have to pay for my own in-house course and pass the relevant modules. I can sell unit trust as well! But then again, I have to double as an insurance agent or financial adviser they call it. Car insurance, fire, group, illness whatever you want, whatever company you want it from ... NTUC, AXA, John Hancock etc ... phillip has it, sales quota seems low... lower than what leehan told me. It looks good but I seriously doubt if I have the drive and synergy to motivate myself to keep going in a "bossless" situation. I hate it when friends receive my call and sound so "scare" that I'm going to sell them something or what ... haha...

The mind is really playing games ... sometime I want so much to give it a go at sales job, service line and give my best(these are nearly 24/7 jobs) ... but at times, I just hope to get a $2000 8am-5pm job, where I can switch off after office hour and spend quality time with my son and my family. The debate over the correct answer is never-ending ... I dun even need anyone to challenge me cos I am always challenging myself over this 2 scenarios ... gosh ... another 50:50 decision that's so hard to make ... perhaps the perfect solution will be I strike top BIG SWEEP prize tomolo ... May the force and strength be with us. Posted by Picasa

Hmm.. interesting... ask yourself these questions:
1) What are you looking for in a job?
2) Do you really like that job you choose?
3) If you choose that job, will you see yourself somewhere in years to come? Or?
4) Do you feel morally right doing that job?
5) Do you want money or just statues? Choose either one.
6) Will you stay long in your job? 10years again?

Check yourself on these questions and balance your 50/50 dilemma.... I had check mine before my 1yr 1 month expires here... hahaha

Sigh ... sometime really dunno the answer lor. I like to do something abt trades, but I dun really like insurance. Without proper qualification, the only way to get into finance is insurance and that's where the money is too ... but I dun really like friends to "xiam" me like I'm "AH LONG(loan shark ... not zilong) runner"! haha!

One thing for sure, I'm trying very hard to avoid going into engineering line in the manufacturing sectors ... I hope I can really avoid that ...
